Carpet Roles Uk are delighted to be assisting their new clients, the UK division of a leading bespoke European Carpet Manufacturer who specialise in providing innovative and high spec Carpet designs for their clients in the Hospitality sector, they are seeking a Specification Sales Specialist with Design skills (an understanding of the process) to win Business on their behalf across London and the Wider South Eastern Region. We are seeking on their behalf, a talented and creative Commercial Flooring Specification Sales / Designer to join our clients dynamic team based in South East London, a leading provider of innovative flooring solutions for commercial spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for colaborating with designers and clients within the end user base (Hotels, Casinos, Cruise Liners etc) to create bespoke Carpet and Rug layouts that meet the unique needs of their clients who are predominantly in the high end Hospitality sector, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal. You will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional flooring installations into their settings that enhance the overall environment of various projects across the Hospitality / Hotels sector.

Key Responsibilities:
In a Nutshell... This is predominantly a Sales Role and you will likely be working within the same space currently supplying excellent Carpets and Rugs to client designs and specs into the Hospitality sector.
More detailed requirements of the role:
- Building upon existing and new relationships and maintaining a high profile and awareness of new projects and tenders as they arise and then winning the business.
- Develop in partnership with Design Studios / Practices and end user (Hotel Chains) teams to understand then present innovative flooring design concepts tailored to client specifications.
- Maintaining accurate records and maintaining contact with potential clients in your pipeline of future business opportunities.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with project timelines.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for design development.
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for flooring installations, including material selections and colour schemes.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure quality standards are met.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide cutting-edge design solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations for client meetings.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a flooring sales designer (understanding of the design process as opposed to creating the designs is what is meant by the design element) or in a similar role within the commercial flooring (Hospitality particularly) design sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of flooring materials, installation methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to Have:
- Experience with sustainable flooring solutions and eco-friendly materials.
- Knowledge of building regulations and compliance standards in the UK.
- Familiarity with project management software to track progress and budgets.
- A Flooring Professional with a profile and contacts.

Attractive negotiable compensation on offer to include:
- Basic Salary in the region of £70-80k Negotiable
- Bonus / Commission in region of 10% of Salary against an agreed Target figure.
